My toe....

Last night, I was out of it. I went to go use the restroom, with no lights on to see where I was going. I assumed the door was open, and walked straight into it. Hit my forehead, and caught one of my toenails on the bottom of the door, chipping it. I've never...chipped a toenail before. It was weird, and hurt a little bit, but the pain went away quickly, and my toenail is still there, so it's all cool

What an eventful day.

Yesterday morning, the neighbor lady invited me over. While she was preparing breakfast, we heard a noise coming from her young son's room. She ran in to discover him missing from his crib. We set out in a panic searching for him around the house, and she kept insisting that one of the birds took him, because of the broken glass from his window.
We enlisted other neighbors to look around as well, and we searched outside the house. After a few minutes, the bird, a large falcon or something flew back in through the window and dropped him back in his crib. The poor boy was covered in scrapes and scratches, and had to be rushed to the hospital. I believe Mrs. neighbor-lady was kind enough to reschedule breakfast, but I really don't remember. What I do remember is that his crib was yellow, as was most of her kitchen. The bird was a dark brown.
Later, I went exploring with some friends. We walked around the forest, and went swimming, and went all the way to the next town. We talked about jellyfish and dresses, and gnomes or some other small creature. On the way back, we had to pass some man dressed in a black uniform. I sneaked up behind him and took him out, CQC style. I don't remember much after that though.
And I forgot to write about the other day, I went grocery shopping, and took forever at the checkout line, but with only two items. One of them was a fancy electric mop. I had to break a hundred-dollar bill, which is part of why it took so long. I just took forever to get it out of my wallet, and I feel bad for that.
Anyways, after that I had to watch my little brother. I started singing this catchy song, and it got on his nerves, but after a while, he started singing with me.
And that's all for lately.

And I almost sank

This morning, I went snorkeling at the pool. As I reached the deeper half, I could feel my body gradually becoming heavier and less responsive.  I sank a bit under the surface, and could only get a snorkel full of water, which I almost inhaled. For some reason, I couldn't break the surface, so I had to move as quickly as possible to the shallower waters while holding my breath. Of course, holding my breath and not getting enough air only made things more difficult. I panicked a little. Luckily, I made it to the shallows and was able to stand up, and breathe again.

I don't even know what I was doing at the pool.

In actuality, before that incident I found myself in an argument with my boyfriend. It was very uncomfortable, but I learned a few things from it.

Odd morning

I didn't sleep last night, too busy packing for a temporary camping trip while my power's disconnected. I fit everything I needed into a canvas bag, looped it onto my handlebars, and biked over to the next town at six in the morning. The air was cold, like "pleasantly warm day in December" cold. The sky was dark, covered by thick clouds all over except just on the eastern horizon where the sun's first rays peeked through. And there were many more people on the highway than I'm used to, because they all commute to work at that time in the morning, and I don't.
With only a few bright pink glimpses of the sun, and more light coming from all the headlights around me,  the weight of my bag, and the stinging blare of my tinny little headphones against the roar of the wind, I felt very boxed in, and a little claustrophobic.
The whole journey felt kind of surreal, kind of like a dream. Probably because I was very tired, as usual.
